Tuesday morning's storm split and knocked down trees throughout Northfield.
A severe thundestorm came through the area around 4:30 a.m. According to the National Weather Service, gusts reached 63 mph.
The storm, which produced hail, also dumped .81 inches of rain in Northfield, according to the Weather Database.

Rice County remains under a Flash Flood Watch as more rain—as much as 6 inches—could fall in the area through Wednesday night.

Tonight:Â Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Increasing clouds, with a low around 71. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 17 to 20 mph decreasing to between 7 and 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.Â
Wednesday:Â Showers and thunderstorms likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. West southwest wind between 7 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.Â
Wednesday Night:Â Mostly clear, with a low around 58. West wind between 5 and 7 mph.Â
