Police: Man Shows Gun at Eagles Club, Taken to Detox

A man is in the Dakota County Detox Center after Northfield Police were called to the Eagles Club early Saturday morning on the report of the man showing a handgun.

Deputy Police Chief Chuck Walerius said the man was not threatening anyone with the gun, which turned out to be a CO2 BB gun, but was showing it to people.

Before officers arrived, the man hid the gun in a bush near the club, according to Walerius.

Eagles manager Galen Malecha says that while the gun turned out to be a BB replica gun, the club bans weapons of any kind on its premises.
