Take in the Northfield Community Band at Taste of Northfield

Thursday night the Northfield Community Band performed its first concert of the summer at , playing Broadway hits under the direction of Rachel Gorden Mercer.
The band presents a free concert series every June consisting of four Thursday evening performances in the downtown park. The concert series continues at 6 p.m. on June 14 alongside the . Mercer will again conduct as the band plays movie music for cinema fans.
Assistant Professor of Music, Dr. Jun Qian, will conduct the final two concerts at 7 p.m. on June 21 and 28. The last concert of the summer will coincide with the opening of the Northfield Girl Scouts’ 100-year anniversary exhibit at the .
