Weighing Noise Complaints, Revenue, Northfield Council Sets Concert Cut-Offs
Outdoor performances now have scheduled end times depending on their location and day of the week.

Northfield concerts will be assigned a new end time, thanks to a city council decision earlier this week that amends the existing noise ordinance.
"It was the third discussion the council has had on the topic with Police Chief Monte Nelson stressing that the council needs to find a reasonable time frame that works for establishments hosting the performances, as well as for residents, who have voiced concern over the loud music," reported Northfield News after the Aug. 2 meeting.
Councilors considered three different options for weekday and weekend concert end times after weighing data that included noise complaints and local revenue from food and drink sales.
