3-Year-Old Dies After Oakdale Crash Killed Father Earlier In June

OAKDALE, MN — A 3-year-old girl has died after she was in a car crash earlier in the monththat killed her father and another driver, according to reports.

Neveah and Alex Ripka were struck June 1 by a wrong-way vehicle, according to a GoFundMe started to support the family, which said Alex was ejected and died at the scene, while Neveah underwent emergency brain surgery.

Also killed in the collision on Interstate 694 in Oakdale was William Alexander Flores-Zamora, 28, of St. Paul, according to KSTP, which reported 32-year-old Alex and his daughter were from Rice.

“It is with a very heavy heart to let you all know, Nevaeh ran into her daddy's open arms last night at 10:00,” said an update Saturday to the GoFundMe.

As of late Monday, the fundraiser had received nearly $18,000 in donations.
