60-day closure of Hilton Trail at Hwy 36

From MnDOT:

Motorists should be aware of a two month long closure of both directions of Hilton Trail at Hwy 36 in Pine Springs.

The roadway will close at 10 p.m. on Monday, July 15.

We're closing this section of roadway so crews can construct a new interchange.

A posted detour will direct you to use Highway 36 to Lake Elmo Avenue to County Road 12 /75th Street N. then back to Hilton Trail.

Partial access at the roadway is expected to be restored by mid-September.

When completed in fall 2013, the $13.8 million reconstruction project will improve safety and traffic flow on Highway 36, Hilton Trail, Highlands Trail and Demontreville Trail while reducing the amount of through traffic cutting through residential areas.
