OAKDALE, MN β€”Have you thought about solar energy for your home, but you don't know where to start?

The City of Oakdale will help provide answers when it hosts a free virtual Solar Power Hour at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The information session will be on Zoom and last an hour. Those interested in attending can register online to receive the Zoom link.

"Learn about the basics of solar, how it can save you money and how it benefits your community," said Grow Solar Twin Cities in a statement.

Grow Solar Twin Cities, an educational and group purchasing program for residential and commercial solar, is sponsoring the event.

The information session is co-hosted by the City of Oakdale Environmental Management Commission and paleBLUEdot, a leading provider of thoughtful and comprehensive carbon, climate change, sustainability and renewable energy planning and services.
