Washington County's Emergency Rental Assistance Continues
Encourage those in need to apply for assistance if they are behind on their rent.

Washington County's Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) program will continue until its funds are exhausted. Washington County residents will be able to apply for assistance. For more information, see the Washington County website.

Recent policy changes have gone into effect for the county program:

- households must be at or below 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI);
- households will only be eligible for current months’ rent, rather than future months;
- utility assistance will require a utility shut-off/disconnection notice;
- applicants may continue to reapply until Washington County ERA funds are exhausted; and
- those in need of utility assistance without a shut-off notice will be referred to appropriate resources.
