• Traffic Stop Incident Leads To Assault Charges For Paynesville Man (minnesotasnewcountry.com) — A Paynesville resident has been charged after a late-night traffic stop in nearby Richmond allegedly escalated into an assault on officers, according to a criminal complaint. The 40-year-old man from Paynesville was arrested at the scene and booked into Stearns County Jail on gross misdemeanor counts related to assaulting a peace officer and obstructing the legal process.
