Wayzata H.S. Seeks Children Singers, Performers

is producing "The Sound Of Music" this fall. We are seeking out strong children singers and performers.

Below is the pertinent information for the production and auditions. We are offering a workshop on August 20, 22, and 23 to help kids prepare for the auditions 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 in the High School Auditorium.  Please enter through the Auditorium doors. It is $5 a day to participate.  Give cash or check to Cathy Wind when attending. 

Here is the role breakdown for kids:

• Liesl Von Trapp, age 16
• Friedrich Von Trap, age 14
• Louisa Von Trapp, age 13
• Kurt Von Trapp, age 10
• Brigitta Von Trapp, age 9
• Marta Von Trapp, age 7
• Gretl Von Trapp, age 5

Needless to say, these kids are the heart and soul of the musical along with Maria. They will be called often and need to sing and move well. We have a wonderful choreographer and musical director and are looking forward to having a district feel to this production. 

Show performance dates: 

November 7 - 4:00pm Senior Citizen Performance, 

November 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 - 7:30pm, 

November 17 - 2:00 pm

Rehearsals:                        

September 10 to opening, after school, Monday-Friday.  Kids will not be called every day at first.
