Free Community BBQ for MN Special Hockey
A free community BBQ to support the Minnesota Special Hockey program from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, in Keller Williams Parking Lot, 215 Walker Avenue South in Wayzata. The grill will have all the BBQ favorites and fixings are included. All donations will go directly to Minnesota Special Hockey.
Back to School Sale This Weekend
Getting ready to go back to school and looking for some good deals on clothes, backpacks and more? Try the Just Between Friends sale going on in the old Gander Mountain location in Maple Grove. Hours for the sale this weekend include 9 a.m. to 9 p.m Saturday, Aug. 10, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11. Admission is $2 on Saturday.
Church Rummage Sale Thursday-Saturday
Golgotha Slavic Church in Plymouth will host a sale to raise money for its youth choir's trip. The sale is 7:30 a.m to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 through Saturday, Aug. 10.Some items include a Jacuzzi tub, clothes, shoes, books, tools and more. The church is located at 12300 18th Avenue in Plymouth.
