Drunk Driver Nearly Misses Plymouth Squad Car
Plymouth Police report shows numerous thefts and a scary DWI moment for an officer.

From Aug. 23-29 the Plymouth Police Department reported 67 incidents, which included the following:
• Nine thefts, items stolen included cordless screwdriver, bicycle, hanging plant, computer bag with computer and other items totaling $2,500, license plate and $5,100 worth of rings. Two instances included shoplifters one of which was a 13-year-old and one instance in which someone was dumping their trash into a school dumpster.
• Nine thefts from a vehicle, items stolen included sunglasses and case, loose change, purse, tools, cash, and a license plate.

• One theft of a motor vehicle in which a truck and trailer along with a stump grinder where stolen and have an approximate loss of $65,000. This happened Aug. 28 on the 5500 block of Highway 169.
• Three DWIs, including an incident on Aug. 26 in which an officer was out on a traffic stop and the suspect almost swerved striking the squad car. A BAC level of .23 was detected and the suspect, a 34-year-old Brooklyn Center woman, was arrested at the intersection of Rockford Road and Old Rockford Road.
