Give Back: Help a Student Be Ready to Go Back to School
Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners are collecting school supplies now.
Backpacks, calculators, notebooks, pencils, pens, and the list goes on.
Getting ready to go back to school can be a daunting task for parents and students. But what if you can't afford the basics needed?
Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners based in Plymouth is collecting back-to-school supplies now through Friday, Aug. 23.
You can drop off supplies from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays at the IOCP location, 1605 County Road 101 North in Plymouth.
The list of needed items is with this post.
Here are some creative ways to collect school supplies for low-income families in need this year:
• Plan a special event, and donate the proceeds to the Back-to-School program.
• Organize a school supply drive with neighbors, colleagues, classmates, sports teams or faith communities. Use incentives like a Casual Dress Work Day to reach your school supply drive goal. Or create a friendly competition with another neighborhood, business, church or group to see who can collect the most supplies.
