Join Patch At Plymouth on Parade Saturday, Sept. 29

The 15th annual Plymouth on Parade is Saturday, Sept. 29, and includes several activities and events.

Get your fun on this weekend at the 15th annual Plymouth on Parade. The event includes activites before and after the parade which is at 11:30 a.m. going down Plymouth Blvd from 34th Avenue (City Hall) to 37th Avenue (Ice Center). 

There are more than 80 community parade entries this year and Plymouth MN Patch is one of them. Come see us in the parade, get some free candy and swag while you're at it!

Following the parade are free family activities in the Ice Center/Hilde Performance Center area and at Lifetime Fitness. Activites include: open ice skating (limited skate rentals), open gym and swim, mini farmers market, face painting, balloons, train rides, petting zoo, pony rides, and of course, the Ducky Derby.

The children’s musical group “Sticks and Tones” will perform from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Hilde Amphitheater.

The 13th annual Plymouth Rotary Duck Race will happen after the parade where 5,000 rubber ducks will race against each other for a fundraiser. The public can adopt a duck or ducks and race for a chance for prizes. Proceeds from the duck adoptions are donated to community organizations supporting youth and education in our community.

Food will also be available on-site including all family favorites from hamburgers to cheese curds, popcorn and ice cream.

8th Annual Plymouth Fire Department 5K Run/Walk

You can still register for the 5K Run/Walk that is 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. 

The run begins at Plymouth Fire Station II, 12000 Old Rockford Rd., and follows neighborhood streets through 3.1 miles of gently rolling terrain.

The fee for entries received from Sept. 15 through the morning of the race is $25. Registration on Saturday begins at 7:30 a.m. 

All 5K participants receive a long sleeved T-shirt. Awards are given to the top three men and women finishers. Online registration is available through active.com (event #2024416). Registration forms are available at City Hall and local running stores.

Free Kids Fun Run

A free Kids Fun Run will held at the same location at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29. Options include either a half or full mile route. Each child is cheered on and receives a gift as they cross the finish line.
