Letter: Supports Audrey Britton for House District 44A

Plymouth resident Jerry Gale writes in support of DFL newcomer Audrey Britton for House District 44A.

To the Editor:

This coming Election Day, we are electing candidates to represent us in ways that will affect our day-to-day lives. However, we must really think about who will best represent Plymouth in the Minnesota legislature. For me, that decision is clear: Audrey Britton.

In order to grow the Minnesotan economy, we need a representative who understands business. Audrey has worked for Fortune 500 companies and she now has her own small business. Audrey’s experiences in the private sector give her an understanding of the business policies Minnesota must adopt.

Our current representative does not have any experience in the private sector. Since graduating from college, she has only worked in the public sector, and more specifically, within her political party. She is the only legislator in Plymouth to have had no “real-world” work experience.

Minnesota’s Constitution states that Minnesota will have a part-time legislature. The authors of our State Constitution wanted legislators who would have to go home and abide by the laws they made (or didn’t make).

The choice for me this fall is Audrey Britton. Audrey will speak for and listen to her constituents. She will cast her votes based on facts, not a political party’s dictates.

Sincerely,

Jerry Gale
