Mardil Medical Reportedly Secures Millions in Funding
Twin Cities Business Magazine reported the Plymouth-based company "recently announced that it has secured $6.1 million in funding in a financing round led by the Malaysian government."
A Plymouth company will reportedly be continuing to move forward with development of a new medical device after securing “$6.1 million in a financing round led by the Malaysian government,” reported the Twin Cities Business Magazine.
Mardil Medical, based in Plymouth, is a medical device company “developing therapies for structural heart diseases including abnormalities in the shape of the heart muscle or valves,” according to the company’s website.
The funding will reportedly allow Mardil Medical to finish the VenTouch system development and start clinical trials abroad.

According to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, Mardil is anticipating to “close an another $5 million” in financing later in 2013.
