Police Clips first reported via Facebook just before 4 p.m. Saturday that Wayzata police were dispatched to a home invasion on Glenmoor Avenue in Long Lake. A search was launched for three armed suspects, who are said to have forced their way in and duct taped the victim. They remained at large Saturday night.
Audio of the police call can be heard by clicking here.
Police Clips also posted that a blood trail was found near the home, and police told the Star Tribune that it is believed one of the suspects was shot during the invasion.
The Star Tribune report also identified owners of the home as John Davis, 46, and his wife, Karen Davis. The couple's KIA Sorento, with license plates 723-KVL, was stolen by the suspects and used to flee the scene.

According to the Star Tribune, Wayzata Police Chief Risvold confirmed that officers from local drug task forces had gone to the Davis home last fall with a search warrant for narcotics, but it was too early to tell if this incident was connected. Risvold also didn’t know if any charges came from that search.
Wayzata Police Officer Robert Vanderheiden said it’s also too early to tell what motivated the suspects in Saturday’s attack or if the home invasion was a random act.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Hennepin County Crime Lab, Plymouth Police Department a K-9 unit and EMS.Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area are being asked to contact the Wayzata Police Department.
