Providence Academy Defeats Pine Island in Girls Basketball 2013 State Quarterfinals
The Plymouth school won 33-22 during the March 13 game at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Plymouth-based Providence Academy moves on to the semifinal round of the 2013 Minnesota state girls basketball class AA tournament after defeating Pine Island 33-22 March 13 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
The Lions connected on one-third of their 21 shots while the Panthers made 7-of-30. Only one player in the game reached double figures – Providence Academy senior guard Leah Szabla with 19 points, according to the Minnesota State High School League.
The Lions move to the semi-final game 6 p.m. March 15 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
