The Minnesota Department of Transportation is inviting Interstate 494 drivers to share their thoughts on a road project taking place between Interstate 394 and Interstate 94 next summer.
The project will involve repairing seven miles of concrete pavement and several bridges between Maple Grove and Minnetonka, building a dynamic shoulder between Highway 55 and East Fish Lake and possibly building several noise walls. The work will allow more drivers to be on the roads during peak hours, as well as provide a smoother road and extend the life of the bridges.
An open house will take place Nov. 19 in the Medicine Lake Room at Plymouth City Hall (3400 Plymouth Blvd.). The open house kicks off at 4 p.m. MnDOT staff will offer a 30-minute presentation at 6 p.m. After the presentation, staff will discuss the noise wall voting process.
