What's Available At the Plymouth Farmer's Market?

The mission of the market is to create a sense of community and to enhance community health with fresh, locally grown produce and plants as well as locally made breads, jams and honeys. Plans are in the works to also offer locally raised meats and eg

Summer is in full swing and so is the Plymouth Farmer's Market.

The market is 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday until Oct. 2 in the Lifetime Fitness/Plymouth Ice Center parking lot on Plymouth Blvd.

Each week has a theme with live music by different local artists. On July 10 you will see Tim Fast, a singer-songwriter with a folk and indie sound.

Next week, July 17, is singer and guitarist Brian Peterson. Artists to come include Barbara English on July 24 and the Roe Family Singers on Aug. 7.

So what vendors can you find at the Plymouth Farmer's Market? Here's a list provided by the latest Plymouth Farmer's Market newsletter:

• Jerky Direct of Plymouth sells all natural beef jerky, bison jerky, turkey jerky, fruit strips and dog treats.
• Great Harvest of Minnetonka sells breads, granola, cookies, and mixes.
• Zoe Goes Bananas of Excelsior sells gourmet banana bread.
• Sugarbush Ridge Farm of Maple Grove sells honey, maple syrup and organic produce.
• Bobbie’s Branch of Plymouth sells salsa, apple butter, jams, relishes and pickled beets.
• Body Bliss sells all natural bath and body products and is only at the Market July 10 and 24, Aug. 7 and 21, Sept. 4 and 18 and Oct. 2.

• Thompson Hillcrest Orchard of Elko sells different apples including: Zestar, Sweetango, Chestnut, Haraled “Haralson” and Honeycrisp as wel as jams and jellies. 

• Svihel Vegetable Farm of Oak Grove sells watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, peas, beans, and sweet corn.

• Jerry Farm of Blaine sells herbs, carrots, beans, sweet corn, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, lettuce, onions, cucumbers and more.

• Mau Family Produce of Maple Grove sells peas, eggplant, beans, strawberries, raspberries, pumpkins, squash, melons, gourds, indian/sweet corn and more.

• Jimmy John’s Farm of St. Francis sells potatoes, tomatoes, herbs, peas, melons, cucumbers, mustard greens, parsnips, okra, zucchini, collard greens and more. 

• Chang Farm of St. Paul sells potatoes, tomatoes, beans, broccoli, peas, eggplant, corn, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cucumbers and peppers.

• Yeng Lee of Lakeville sells fresh cut flowers including lilies, roses and dahlias as well as kale, gladiolas, blue static, sunflowers and zinnias.

• Beck’s Elk River Green House and Vegetable Farm of Elk River sells peas, eggplant, squash, applies, ground cherries, gourds, watermelons, pumpkins, melons, corn, and more.

• Gregor Farm and Greenhouse of Wayzata sells broccoli, tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, eggplant, melons, plums, cucumbers, and planting flowers. 

• Bee’s Fresh Vegetables of Brooklyn Park sells green beans, jalapenos, cilantro, calabash gourd, spinach and more. 

• Untiedts Vegetable Farm of Waverly sells strawberries, mums, sweet potatoes, sweet corn, squash, asparagus, and more. 

• Naturally Delicious Inc. of Otsego sells ready-to-eat ice cream.

• Berry Blendz of Eden Prairie sells ready-to-eat 100 percent fruit smoothies. 

• Simply Nuts of Chaska sells cashews, pistachios, Ccnnamon almonds, dried fruit, peanuts, pecan pralines, cranberry trail mix and mixed nuts.
