Bomb Squad: 'Suspicious Device' in Richfield Apartment was Designed to Look Like Explosive
Local police cleared a Richfield apartment unit on Thursday morning.

Richfield police cleared a building on Thursday after they received a call about a "suspicious device" inside.
The caller reported that a cleaning crew noticed the item around 10 a.m. Thursday when cleaning out a vacant unit in the complex in the 7600 block of Cedar Avenue, according to a CBS report.
"Upon arrival, Richfield police called the Bloomington Bomb Squad as a precaution," the article said. "Shortly after 10:30 a.m. the bomb squad arrived and evacuated the apartment complex. Through further investigation, the bomb squad determined the item had only be designed to look like a bomb and was not actually an explosive."
