Minnesota DWI Task Force Spotlights 'All-Star' Richfield Sergeant at Twins Game

The local police sergeant is part of a statewide all-star team that cracks down on drunken driving.

A home run can be the difference between winning and losing a game, but drunken driving can be the difference between life and death.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety's Office of Traffic Safety (DPS-OTS) recognized Richfield Police Sergeant Brad Drayna last week as part of the 2015 DWI Enforcer All-Star Team. Members are honored with the designation for their commitment to taking drunken drivers off the road. Drayna serves as a quintessential officer in maintaining Richfield residents' safety, officials said.

"Drayna is a 12-year veteran of the agency (and works) among 40 law enforcement officers and prosecutors, statewide, on the DWI Enforcer All-Star Team," said Richfield Police Department representatives. "This is the second time Sergeant Brad Drayna has been named a DWI all-star."

The entire state team was honored last week during pregame Minnesota Twins festivities at Target Field. All-stars make the cut based on their total DWI arrests in a given year. This is the ninth DWI Enforcer All-Star Team selected for outstanding service in enforcement and prosecution of drunk driving.
