Richfield Patch Celebrates 3 Years in the Community
Editor Caitlin Burgess remembers Richfield Patch's beginnings, looks forward to the future.

On Sunday, Nov. 17 Richfield Patch celebrated its third anniversary as part of the Richfield community.
And, to sound cliche, I remember Richfield Patch's coming out like it was yesterday:
Nov. 15, 2010 was an all-nighter for me. Everything had to be perfect the morning of Nov. 16 to get the green-light to go online Nov. 17. I, along with some very dedicated freelancers, spent months building contacts, sniffing out story leads and finally writing the first articles that would populate the homepage.
After getting the OK to move ahead, I cried, and cried some more, took a nap and made myself a terrible frozen dinner—in that order. I woke up the morning of Nov. 17 to a live site and thought: "Now what?"
Three years later, Richfield Patch has become one of the most successful sites in Minnesota, and that is all thanks to the people of Richfield for accepting it, and pushing us to do more.
Thank you to the community for reading and sharing, but most of all, for caring about Richfield. We at Richfield Patch will continue to give you our best.
Sincerely,
Caitlin Burgess
