Richfield Woman Charged With Stealing $1,500 in Lingerie
Monet Mecca Dunnorm is charged with felony theft after the incident at a Minneapolis Victoria's Secret.

A Richfield woman has been charged with stealing nearly $1,500 worth of items from a Minneapolis lingerie shop.
Monet Mecca Dunnorm, 18, is charged with felony theft, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
According to the criminal complaint, Minneapolis Police were called to a Victoria’s Secret store in the 3000 block of Hennepin Avenue South on the evening of Jan. 6. The store’s manager reported a theft in progress.

When police arrived, officers waited on the sidewalk outside the store, observing activity inside through the glass doors. As they watched, officers reportedly saw Dunnorm—accompanied by three other women—select items of clothing and conceal them in a large plastic bag. According to the complaint, police watched the group for about 10 minutes and saw Dunnorm continue to place items into the bag.
As Dunnorm left the store, the unpaid merchandise in her bag set off security alarms. The complaint said that police arrested her and recovered two bags of unpaid clothing valued at $1,440.

Dunnorm’s criminal record includes a conviction last October for receiving stolen property. She remains in custody in the Hennepin County Jail.
