And The Bands Played On...Saturday
Defending Rosemount High School among 20 bands slated to compete at the Minnesota State Marching Band Championship at the Metrodome.

It will be a full day of shows on Saturday (Oct. 13) for a bevy of marching bands appearing at the Hubert Humphrey Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis.
The music action runs from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and will feature 20 high school bands and three college bands performing unique colorful and entertaining shows.
Tickets are $10 to $25 per seat and are available at Gate H of the HHH Metrodome starting at 9:30 a.m. For more information click online at www.youthinmusic.org.

This event will include the 2012 Minnesota State Marching Band Championship, The Upper Midwest Class Championships and The Youth In Music Grand Championships.
The marching bands combine musicianship, artistry and athleticism in performing their competitive field shows.

Among the competing bands are Rosemount High School, the seven-time defending champion. That band's program will include classic rock songs such as "Don't Stop Believing" and "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow."
Other high school bands in competition include: Anoka, Champlin Park, Eden Prairie, Irondale (Mounds View School District), Hastings and Minnetonka.
Meanwhile, marching bands in exhibition are UWEC Blugold Band, UWLacrosse, UMB Bulldog Band, Minne-Brass and The 451st Army Band.
