At the Roseville branch of the St. Paul Farmers’ Market on Tuesday mornings, Gordy Goldeman sells flowers- lots of them.

This season, Dahlias and Iris are among the big sellers,"  he said, adding that having a big variety of flowers is important as a seller.

Goldeman first began selling just vegetables in the 1980s but switched to flowers about 10 years ago.

Normally, Goldeman has sold about 80 percent of his flowers for the year by the end of May. But with this year’s cold spring, planting and selling are about two weeks behind and a lot of business has bled over into June, he said.

The Roseville branch isn’t Goldeman’s only stop on Tuesdays. He also sells at the Farmers’ Market in Andover.

Goldeman said his biggest selling of the week comes on weekends at the St. Paul's Farmers' Market. He also sells at the Farmers' Market at the Burnsville branch.
