Battle of The Bands Competition Canceled...But a New Show Goes On
Bill Hammond will host an open mic show

The "Battle of The Bands" competition scheduled for Thursday night (July 25) at the Frank Rog Amphitheatre in Roseville is canceled.
Still, the city Parks and Recreation department's summer outdoor concert series won't miss a beat.
A substitute program is scheduled: Bill Hammond will host open mic starting at 7:30 p.m. at Central Park, 2540 Lexington Ave. N.Â
"Bill has acts scheduled for 15 minute spots," according to Debbie Cash, a city program supervisor. Â "One of the Battle bands will be playing first."
The teen bands competition was canceled because of a lack interest.Â

Adult open hockey
Looking for a way to stay cool during the hot summer?
If you're adult hockey player there is open ice time for you from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Thursdaiy at the indoor arena at the Roseville Skating Center, 2661 Civic Center Drive.Â
Meanwhile, if you just want to do sone walking, the Skating Center has its indoor walking track available from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.Â
Roseville parks puppet wagon
Roseville Parks and Recreation Department's free puppet wagon shows are being held on Thursdays in the summer (through Aug. 8)Â at these times and parks:
Thursdays          9:30 a.m.                 Owasso Hills at Owasso Hills Dr. and Highcourt Rd.
Thursdays          10:30 a.m.               Evergreen Park at Fairview and County Road B
Thursdays          11:30 a.m.               Lauderdale Park at Roselawn and Fulham St. in Lauderdale
