Big Check Coming For Roseville Parks
FOR Parks making ceremonial presentation Thursday night to city Parks and Recreation Commission.

The Friends of Roseville Parks (FOR Parks) is pleased to announce at the Roseville Parks and Recreation Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. today (Thursday) the group will present a ceremonial check for $50,000 to the commission.
This sum represents fundraising efforts by the group over the past two or three years. The money will be split between enhancing the interior of the Harriet Alexander Nature Center and updating the Lake Bennett fountain aeration system.

With this latest donation, FOR Parks (formerly the Roseville Central Park Auxiliary) has raised more than $330,000 since its inception more than 40 years ago. The group's mission is to promote the development and maintenance of Roseville parks, to provide recreational facilities and activities for families, children and adults.
Periodically, FOR Parks focuses on a special project for fundraising. Examples of some of the projects are the Dale Street playground (equipment), the Muriel Sahlin Arboretum fountain, lights around Lake Bennett, and the Joe Mogg Memorial Boardwalk at the nature center. FOR Parks is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
