Features of New Xfinity Store in Roseville
Comcast's new retail format geared to improved customer service.
Comcast Corp. on Saturday celebrated the debut of its Xfinity Experience Center in Roseville, the compay's first new format store in Minnesota.
Grand opening festivities at Xfinity's Rosedale Commons location, 2480 Fairview Ave. included appearances by Minnesota Vikings running back Toby Gerhart and KFAN personality Justin Gaard.
Xfinity Experience Center is a demonstration showroom designed to give customers the chance to try out the store's interactive, retail products and services. It has a sleek feel similar to an Apple store. Here are some key features of the nearly 3,000 square-foot Roseville store:

- Paperless "take a number" system for serving customers. There is also plush waiting area, in the middle of the store with a big-screen televison, for customers to sit down and relax while they are waiting to be served by a store sales consultant.
- Interactive touchscreen displays for such product categories as Xfinity Home, Comcast's new home security and premise management system.Â
- Customers also can experience Xfinity TV, including the industry’s leading video-on-demand feature, or test drive the store's broadband speeds with Xfinity Internet.
- A self-service kiosk for quick bill pay.
David Tashjian, vice president of sales and marketing for Comcast Twin Cities, told Patch that a key driver behind developing the new Xfinity format is to provide better customer service and make its stores more user-friendly.
