Free Electronics Recycling Event Set Saturday at Roseville Prince of Peace Church

Fundraiser will help Girl Scout Troop 51629 raise money for a trip abroad.


Girl Scout Troop 51629 will host aΒ Tech Dump electronics collection eventΒ Β from Β 9 a.m. Β to 1 p.m. Β Saturday ( Sept. 7) atΒ Prince of Peace Lutheran Church,Β 2561Β Victoria St NorthΒ in Roseville.
The recycling event will help theΒ troop raiseΒ money for an upcomingΒ trip abroad.Β Β 
"A Tech DumpΒ collection event would make a great partnership between the church, the scouts, and the community," said Julie Lentz, a ninth-grade troop leader and recycling event organizer. "TheΒ church hosts the event, the scouts advertise and work the event, and the community comes forth withΒ the electronics. Β We are all stewards of the earth."

Gently used, obsolete or damaged electronics will be accepted includingΒ computers, cell phones, electrical cords, internal/external drives, other miscellaneous electronic accessories, TVs,Β and monitors. AΒ $10 donation is requested for CRT TVs and monitorsβ€”non-flat panels.Β 

Tech Dump will destroy allΒ personal information and data on computers and electronic devicesΒ at its recycling facility in Golden Valley, according to event organizers.Β Β Β
