Honoring Roseville's Finest
The city plans to award more than 20 officers for outstanding service.

The city of Roseville will pay homage today (Wednesday) to its Police Department for outstanding work in the past year.
The department is scheduled to honor, among others, 16 officers with unit citations and another 11 officers with letters of commendation. Â Merit awards are scheduled to be given to two police staffers for outstanding performance under unusual or difficult circumstances, the city said.
Meanwhile, the PD’s Medal of Honor is slated to be given to K-9 Major, the dog who was left paralyzed in his hind legs after getting stabbed several times while searching for suspects in an attempted burglary in Maplewood last November. Major was retired from the Roseville PD shortly afterward.
