Ice Out Update at Lake Bennett

There's still plenty of ice on the Roseville lake but it is starting to rapidly retreat.

On Thursday (April 25), Roseville's Lake Bennett showed wider stretches of open water with ice cover finally in retreat as metro area temperatures pushed up above 40 degrees.

And the melting ice should accelerate with Friday temperatures predicted to soar above 60 and possibly into the 70s, confirming that spring is finally here and winter is sputtering to an end for the season.

The 28-acre Lake Bennett is on the west end of Central Park off of Lexington Avenue.
