More Than 600 Students Going to Roseville High School 2013 Prom

More than 600 students are signed up to attend Roseville High School's 2013 prom which will be held Saturday (April 26) at the Prom Center in Oakdale.Â
Michael Flatten, the school's assistant to the activities director, shared some fun facts and statistics (as of Thursday afternoon) about the annual spring social:

Students attending: 636 including  250 couples and 136 singletons.
Prom theme: Â "A Whole New World," which is the signature song from the Walt Disney movie "Aladdin."

Prom hours and location: 8 to 11:45 p.m. at the Prom Center, 484 Inwood Ave N. Â Oakdale.Â
Grand march: 4 p.m. Saturday at the high school gymnasium.
Grand march gymnasium decorations: Donation by Visual Horizon Communications. Company president is David Goerg, whose daughter Sierra is a student at Roseville High and is on the prom planning committee. Â
Prom chaperone support: Nearly 30 adults, most of them high school staff.Â
Prom tickets: $40 to $45 per student, depending on when purchased.Â
Average student spending in the Midwest on prom: Â $750 per person. Â
