Fantastic! Hair Salon Retailer Opens Newest Minnesota Shop in Roseville

Fantastic Sams, a national retailer of hair salon shops, continues its rapid expansion in Minnesota  today debuting a new Roseville location at 1750 ½ Lexington Ave. N. 

The 111^th location for Fantastic Sams in Minnesota, the new Roseville salon is among more than 80 in the metro area which are locally owned and operated. The new Roseville shop is owned by Rebecca and Chris Nagel, who also hold three Fantastic Sams' salons in Maple Grove.

"It (Roseville) is a great town and we are ready to venture out into a new area," Rebecca Nagel told Roseville Patch today (Friday). "I think we are a great option for Roseville," she said, noting that Fantastic Sams is known for professional hair care at affordable prices.

Individual hair styles or cuts usually go for $13.99 including a shampoo and blow drying, Nagel said. But her Roseville shop is offering a $9.99 grand opening special.

The 900-square-foot store will offer hair styling as well as professional coloring, perms and facial waxing, Nagel said. Her shop is the second Fantastic Sams in Roseville; the other one is located at 2100 Snelling Ave.

Lois Clayton, of Roseville, was the first customer to get her hair cut at the Nagels' Roseville shop. She said she likes the convenience of the store, noting it is close to her home.

Former residents of Roseville, the Nagels are familiar with the area. "We are excited to be here," Rebecca said. "We wanted to be open before Christmas."

In a press statement, Fantastic Sams of Minnesota regional director Dave Boltz said, "The latest salon opening in Roseville marks a significant growth spurt for Fantastic Sams in Minnesota. We look forward to continued growth in 2012.”
