Newly-Elected Roseville School Board Member on Radio Talk Show

KFAI to inteview Kaying Thao.

KFAI radio is scheduled to conduct a live interview today (Friday evening) with newly-elected Roseville School Board member Kaying Thao.

Thao will be on the radio station's Hmong Today program, which airs at 6:30 p.m. with a half hour news briefing. Then,Thao is scheduled to be interviewed from 7 to 7:30 p.m. about her election to the School Board.

The dial for KFAI is 106.7FM in St. Paul, 90.3FM in Minneapolis and streaming online at www.kfai.org.

Thao on Tuesday led a field of six candidates to claim one of three open seats on the board. Unoffical totals from the Ramsey County Elections Web page, with 17 of 17 precincts reporting, list Thao as the top vote-getter, with 2,220 votes, or 21.48 percent of the total 10,334 cast. 

Also winning election were newcomer Erin Azer, who received 2,175 votes or 21.05 percent, and incumbent Chairwoman Lisa Edstrom who received 1,788 votes, or 17.30 percent.
