The first award was Project of the Year for the design and construction of the I-694/Rice Street interchange and adjacent intersections. This was a collaborative project with the cities of Little Canada, Shoreview and Vadnais Heights, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Public Works also received the Highway Safety Achievement Award for the 4-to 3-lane conversion study completed in 2020. This study sets a vision and path for addressing the county’s least safe highways.
