Remodeling at Roseville Radisson Hotel

$5 million program includes lobby, public spaces and plans fro sleeping rooms.

The Radisson hotel in Roseville has been getting about a $5 million update this year.

"We are doing a complete renovation of all exterior and public spaces,' hotel sales and marketing manager Susan Sommervold recently told Roseville Patch.

The update at the hotel, 2540 North Cleveland Ave., includes new lighting, carpeting and wallpapering at its Emerald Ridge Grand Ballrooom. The makeover also includes a revamped lobby and soon a Starbucks coffee kiosk.

An update for the hotel's 256 rooms is expected to begin when buiness slows down, typically in early winter, Sommervold said.  Built in 1971, the hotel has 8,000 square feet of space.

Radisson has had the Roseville hotel since 2002. The facility was previously a Ramada Inn.
