Rep. Jason Isaacson Opposes Pay Raises for State Lawmakers

State Rep. Jason Isaacson said today he categorically is opposed to including pay raises for state lawmaker in the next state budget.Â
"As the Minnesota House and Senate begin ironing out differences between our budgets in conference committees, I want to let you know in no uncertain terms that I staunchly oppose including legislative pay raises in the final product," Isaacson said in a blog submitted to Roseville Patch.Â
Unlike the Senate, the House budget does not include legislative pay raises," Isaacson said. "The core components the House budget includes investments in education, middle class property tax relief, and initiatives to create good jobs.

Isaacson, a first-term DFLer from Shoreview, is representative for District 42B, which includes that part of Roseville north of County Road C and east of Snelling Avenue.Â
