Roseville City Council Preview
Closed-door meeting expected tonight on personnel item.

The Roseville City Council is expected to hold a closed-door meeting at 6 p.m. today to evaluate the performance of City Manager Bill Malinen.
The meeting is scheduled to take place in the Aspen Room of City Hall, 2660 Center Drive. The Council is expected to close the meeting, under state statutes, as a personnel matter.
In response to an e-mail question from Roseville Patch, city Mayor Dan Roe said, "The meeting will most likely be closed under state statutes that allow for closing meetings to discuss the performance of employees under council supervision. Our only such employee is the city manager.Â

"We will vote on a motion to close the meeting shortly after taking roll call," Roe said. "Closing the meeting for discussion of performance evaluation has been normal practice as long as I can recall in Roseville.
"There will be a summary report on the evaluation, as required by statute, at the July 11 regular meeting," Roe said.Â
