Roseville Council: Presentation Scheduled Tonight on Parks Survey
Survey aimed at gauging citizen support on initial round of projects.

The Roseville Council on Monday evening is expected to hear the results of a community interest and opinion survey regarding implementing the city’s park and recreation master plan.
Ron Vine; president of Leisure Vision, a Kansas City-based research firm; is scheduled to present the results of the random survey of 760 Roseville residents, said Lonnie Brokke, Roseville city parks and recreation director.
Brokke said the survey results wiil reveal what level of spending residents would feel comfortable supporting for investing in an initial round of new parks and recreation projects.

Last fall, the City Council adopted the park and recreation master plan. That plan identifies dozens of short- and long-term projects, from maintaining existing parks to building new park shelters to acquiring land for additional parks, Brokke said. The total, long-term cost would be about $80 million, he said.
