Roseville Fire Department responds to warehouse roof fire
Incident second one within a week.
For the second time in less than a week, the Roseville Fire Department has responded to an emergency call at a warehouse building at the 1400 block of County Road C.
Roseville firefighters received a call at about 10 p.m. Wednesday that there was smoke billowing from the roof of the building, 1430 County Road C. Roseville PD were first to arrive on the scene and the Lake Johanna Fire Department also responded to the call, Roseville Fire Chief Tim O’Neill said at the scene.
Cause of the fire, which was contained to a small section of the building’s roof was not immediately known.

O’Neill also said the cause of last Friday’s roof fire had not been determined.
Mike Mezzenga, the building’s owner, said, ”We don’t really know what happened.”

But he speculated that last Friday’s roof small roof fire might have been caused by a lightning strike and that might have been connected to Wednesday’s incident.
Whatever the cause, firefighters opened up big sections of the roof Wednesday and soaked it down, O’Neill said.
Mezzenga said the building is home to several tenants. An employee for one of them, a dog boarding kennel, said there was no danger to several dogs being boarded there for the night.
