Roseville Letter To The Editor: Home Tour A Success
Friends of Roseville Parks give thanks.

Dear Editor,
We of the Friends of Roseville Parks would like to express our belated, but heartfelt, thanks to the weather gods who blessed the recent Holiday Rose Home Tour with perfect weather on Nov. 11 and 12, a huge improvement over the blizzard that blasted the 2010 Tour.
With that halo of sunshine and warmth, the FOR Parks committee who organized the annual event saw their plans perfectly realized, and now, as wrap-up, would like to praise those who contributed to the successful event.
Homeowners John and Julie Overbye Ledy and Todd and Liz Hinz graciously opened their residences to flocks of home tour visitors. Their homes were enhanced with holiday decor provided by a bevy of designers and florists. Sincere thanks to B&C Designs, Bruit De La Mode, watercolor artist Donald Bendickson, Chickadee Boutique, Expertly Staged, G&K Designs, Interior Spaces, Lexington Floral, Lillies De Fleur, Linder's Garden Center and Martha's Gardens.
The Tour's purpose to raise funds for Roseville parks was greatly enabled by a long list of local merchants, businesses and individuals who donated items for the silent auction. Corporate and individual sponsors who gave cash donations include Alex's Lawn and Turf, Charles Cabinet Company, Magellan Midstream Partners, McGough Construction, Midway Ford, Old Dutch Foods, Roseville Visitors Association, Sheehy Construction, Walter's Recycling and Refuse Company, and Zawadski Homes. Cabot Cheese continued its generous donation of product to FOR Parks events.
The event would not have occurred so smoothly without sharing its parking facilities, and The Maguire Agency and Roseville Parks & Recreation who provided shuttle buses to transport tour-goers to the homes. A very big thank-you goes to St. Michael's Lutheran Church for offering their building for the luncheon, silent auction and style show, featuring fashions from Baglio's of Afton. And for their continued support of our efforts, we thank the staff of Roseville Parks and Recreation, headed by Lonnie Brokke, director, with especial thanks to Kara Thomas.
Finally, our gratitude goes to the hundreds who bought tickets to attend the Tour and luncheon. This year your participation supports our projects to enhance the interior of the Harriet Alexander Nature Center and maintain the aeration system in the Lake Bennett fountain. And this year, you were able to enjoy the homes on perfect November days.
Sincerely yours,
Jan Thul, president, Friends of Roseville Parks
