Roseville Man Crashes The Wisconsin State Capitol

Andrew Bishop charged with charged with felony criminal damage.

A 21-year-old Roseville man may have achieved his 15 minutes of fame-but for all the wrong reasons.

The Wisconsin State Journal is reporting that "Andrew C. Bishop, 21, of Roseville, Minn., on Tuesday (Oct. 9) was charged with felony criminal damage and entry into a locked building for allegedly breaking into the (Wisconsin)state Capitol through a fifth-floor window early Sunday.

Bishop "apparently scaled the outside of the Capitol and smashed a window to get into the building, then grabbed a fire extinguisher and threw it through another window, according to a criminal complaint filed in Dane County Circuit Court," the newspaper reported.

When police found Bishop, he appeared to be passed out on a dome outside one of the windows, but woke up and began kicking at the glass, the complaint states. Click here to see the full news report.

By this morning (Wednesday), news of Bishop's allegedly drunken exploits were picked up by the Associated Press and carried by such news outlets as the Washington Post.
