Roseville Meeting Tonight Seeks Ideas For Citizen Engagement
Task Force report expected later this fall. Wednesday night.

Roseville’s Neighborhood and Community Engagement Task Force is sponsoring a community forum today (Wednesday) to discuss how residents can become more involved in government and get their voices heard at City Hall.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Rose Room at the Roseville Skating Center, 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville.
The task force- a group of 20 Roseville residents appointed by the Roseville Human Rights Commission- has been meeting since May to discuss how city government relates to neighborhoods, and how citizens can have a more effective voice at City Hall before decisions are made, said Gary Grefenberg, task force co-chairman. The task force plans to make its final recommendations to the City Council late this fall.

The task force is considering whether Roseville residents are interested in starting neighborhood organizations and forums, Grefenberg said. It is also exploring networks and other communities’ communication systems-as well as ways to improve existing city communications-between residents and City Hall, he added.
Todayls forum will give citizens an opportunity to present their opinions to the task force.
