Roseville Police Issues Crime Alert on Burglaries
Tips to thwart burglaries include locking your house doors and joining a Neighborhood Watch group.

As Minnesotans head into summer, this is the time when Roseville could see a seasonal increase in burglaries, according to the city Police Department.
In a crime alert issued this week, Roseville police officials said, "Right around this time last year, the Lake McCarron’s neighborhood experienced multiple burglaries.

"Roseville has already been a victim to a couple of burglaries and attempted burglaries this year," the department added.
Just within the last week, the Roseville Police incidence log reveals department officers responded to a residential burglary report at the 1500 block of Transit Avenue and a commercial burglary in the 2100 block of Snelling
Avenue N.

Here are some tips from the Roseville PD to thawrt potential burglaries:
- "Be on the look-out and be sure to report ANY and ALL suspicious activity.
- If it feels “weird,” then it is probably worth reporting. Call 9-1-1 and follow the instructions from Dispatch.
- Lock all doors and windows including: patio doors, sliding doors, garage doors and service doors to the garage. Consider using window pins or window locks.
- Keep valuable items out of sight. Many people advertise their possessions by leaving blinds open, facing TV’s toward windows, leaving bikes in driveways, leaving garage doors open, etc.
- Participate in Neighborhood Watch. Knowing your neighbors is a powerful thing. Keeping your neighborhood safe is a team effort."
