Roseville School Board Filing Closes with New Members Assured

Incumbents Mona Langston and Bill Majerus did not file for re-election.

Four candidates have filed for election to theΒ Roseville District 623 School Board with voters in NovemberΒ assured of getting to elect at least two new members.Β 
With three three-year terms up for grabs, incumbent Kitty Gogins, past chair,Β Β is seeking re-election. Also vying are newcomersΒ Β Mike Boguszewski, Frank Shaw and Mark Traynor.
But incumbents Mona Langston, current board chair person, and Bill Majerus did not file for re-election.Β 
Regarding her decision, Langston said, "Due to personal reasons, I will not be running for re-election for Roseville School Board.Β  It was a very difficult decision as I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the board."
Majerus could not be immediately reached for comment. Roseville Patch will update this story, as news develops.Β
