Roseville School Board Filing Closes with New Members Assured

Four candidates have filed for election to the Roseville District 623 School Board with voters in November assured of getting to elect at least two new members. 
With three three-year terms up for grabs, incumbent Kitty Gogins, past chair,  is seeking re-election. Also vying are newcomers  Mike Boguszewski, Frank Shaw and Mark Traynor.
But incumbents Mona Langston, current board chair person, and Bill Majerus did not file for re-election. 
Regarding her decision, Langston said, "Due to personal reasons, I will not be running for re-election for Roseville School Board.  It was a very difficult decision as I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the board."
Majerus could not be immediately reached for comment. Roseville Patch will update this story, as news develops.
