Roseville's Mosquito Bluegrass Jam Coming Sunday

There will be music and fun mosquito activities for the day-long jam that goes from 2 to 8 p.m.

Roseville Parks and Recreation will hold its annual Mosquito Bluegrass Jam from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 4) at the Frank Rog Amphitheatre at Central Park, 2540 Lexington Ave. 

Part of the free outdoor summer concert series presented by Genisys Credit Union, the bluegrass jam will kick-off with a beginner's jam from 2 to 3:45 p.m. led by Bill Cagley, of Roseville. 

At  4 p.m.,  the group Sasquatch Wristwatch performs, followed by the Platte Valley Boys. at 5:30 and 7 p.m.

Along with the excellent musical program, you can also enjoy fun mosquito activities with the Harriet Alexander Nature Center and purchase refreshments from the Cajun 2 Geaux food truck.

No City Council meeting. Your hard-working Council members seem to meet most Monday nights. But not today; it's a break in the schedule for them.   

Tuesday, July 30 

Whether its flowers, fruits, vegetables or home-made food products, you're going to find a big variety of fresh produce and interesting foods at the Roseville Farmers Market which is held every Tuesday (through late October). Hours are  from 8 a.m. to noon at  the Church of the Corpus Christi, 2131 Fairview Ave.

Wednesday, July 31

If you're a parent with a baby who is between six and 23 months old, Ramsey County's Roseville Library has a special time scheduled for you. 
The library will hold "Baby and Me Storytime"  hour from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday (July 31). The program repeats regularly on Wednesday mornings. The library is located 2180 Hamline Ave. N. 

Thursday, Aug. 1

The St Peter Street Stompers perform at 7 p.m. at the Frank Rog Amphitheatre in Central Park. The free concert is part of the city Parks and Recreation department's outdoor music series.
