Marriage Amendment Battle Growing
During September, the debate over the proposed Marriage Amendment began heating up.

With the general election barely five weeks away, the political battle over the proposed Marriage Amendment is growing,
New polls suggest Minnesotans are nearly evenlyi divided over the issue of whether the Minnesota Constitution should be amended to define marriage as being only between one man and one woman.
The issue is also highly charged. The Roseville City Council near the end of August voted to support a resolution opposing the Marriage Amendment. But that vote came only after a lengthy and divided public hearing on the issue.
