Update: City Charges Man in Monday Standoff with Roseville Police
Two counts filed by Roseville City Attorney.

The Roseville City Attorney’s office has lodged criminal charges against a 23-year-old male resident in connection with a seven-hour standoff Monday with city police.
The city on Thursday charged the man, Alan Didi Wiedrick, with one count of obstruction of legal process and one count of disobeying a police officer's order, according to a press release issued Friday afternoon by the Roseville Police Department.
These misdemeanor charges against Wiedrick stem from his Monday (Feb.6) seven-hour standoff with the Roseville Police Department at the 300 block of West County Road C2, police officials said.

The press release states: "Roseville police initially were called to Wiedrick’s home on a report he had posted messages on Facebook indicating he had attempted suicide earlier in the day; messages indicated that he was contemplating killing himself and had hostility towards the police.
When officers made initial contact to check his welfare, officers found Wiedrick hostile towards them and in possession of what appeared to be a pistol. Officers backed out of the home and requested the assistance of negotiators and East Metro SWAT.

East Metro SWAT negotiators made numerous attempts to converse with Wiedrick but had limited success. After approximately 6-hours of limited voice and text messages from Wiedrick, SWAT officers deployed gas munitions into Wiedrick’s home. Approximately one hour later, Wiedrick was arrested by SWAT when he attempted to flee his home’s lower level.
Once in custody, Wiedrick was transported to a local hospital for tear gas inhalation.
During a subsequent search of Wiedrick’s home, investigator’s recovered what they believe to be the replica firearm he possessed when initially confronted by police.
If found guilty of these misdemeanor violations, Wiedrick could be sentenced up to a maximum of 90 days in jail and / or a $,1000 fine on each count."
