Update: Roseville Tuesday Night Apartment Fire Preliminarily Considered "Suspicious"

The Roseville Police Department today issued a press statement saying it is seeking more informatiion about a Tuesday night apartment fire at Centennial Commons, preliminarily ruling the incident as "suspicious."
The second-floor apartment fire occurred about 7:30 p..m. Tuesday at 2825 Pascal St. N., displacing about 50 residents. The 23-unit building sustained about $1 million in damage and resulted in three apartments being condemnned, Roseville officials said.Â

"The Roseville Police Department is seeking help from the public with information regarding a suspicious fire which occurred on Tuesday, Nov.1, 2011 between the approximate hours of 7:00-7:30 p.m. at Centennial Garden Apartment complex located at 2825 Pascal Street North.
At 7:43 p.m. on November 1st, Roseville Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to an apartment fire. Upon arrival responding officers observed smoke and flames coming from second and third floor apartments. All of the residents had evacuated the building without injury with one resident rescued by fire fighters from a second floor apartment window.
Monday’s fire caused approximately $1 million in damage to the building, displaced approximately 50 residents and resulted in three of the twenty-three apartment units being condemned because of fire and smoke damage.
Roseville police and fire investigators have determined Monday’s fire to be suspicious. Investigators are waiting on the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension laboratory results on material recovered from the fire before officially naming the cause of the fire.
